Starting a professional photography business …

Digital photo cameras a cheap, easy-to-use, and powerful: this has led to an explosion of photographers, who want to make money from their (amateur) craft.  And then we have the committed amateurs who believe that they are the only true photographers out there.

I have just set up my (genuinely) professional photography venture and worry about differentiating myself from this diverse crowd of wannabees.   I am competent, experienced, and – hopefully – reasonably talented, have first-rate equipment, and great passion, but there is more to success as a professional photographer than these basics.  This blog will therefore capture my experience as a new professional photographer, hopefully accompanying my path to success.
